The main condition for any chamber music ensemble : all the members have to think alike. The young lady trio Sōra carries it out brilliantly. Each musician is a real virtuoso, but that is not enough because more than once we have seen superstars playing together rather anemical. Perfection is created by playing together for years but this trio is still very young! I haven’t witnessed such animation and vitality since the Mendelssohn string quartets by Vineta Sareika and the Artemis Quartet. The pianist Pauline Chenais captivates with her pearly, crystal clear playing even in the fastest passages, and with her admirable delicacy towards the string players, since according to the score, the music is dominated by the piano part. But the most important is the amazing rhythmical energy (that doesn’t mean fast tempos) that can be seen so rarely.
